Been wanting to make a progress thread for my car, so here it is.
Black/berry red interior 2003 SL55, shipped to my house on 2/19 from Arizona.. the paper work took almost a month lol talk about being patient
^already running out of gas!
Used to be a BMW guy, owned a 330ci which was lightly modded. plenty of good memories, but plenty more to come with the benzo

first mod, I picked up a set of 20" Iforged Race Gold Essens (can't stand the OEM wheels), ordered a black grill which is on its way, and a CF front spoiler lip which I'll buy later on next month
the wheels are different, so I'm expecting to get mixed reviews about them.. Race gold looks amazing in person

The Essens are sick. I had them on my S4 and I loved them. The iforged gold is beautiful too. My friend has the Essen w/ step lip in gold on his A4 and they are amazing!

damn how did you know!! I was really close to getting a white 6 speed 645 before this guy, but that car wasn't doing it for me and the m6's were a bit out of my price range. but in the future I'm most likely to get a M6 once the prices are down

I love my Continentals, more than the Michelin MXH4 and Primacy (note, I'm not talking about PS2's).
Continental Contisport Contact 3. Great traction, VERY quiet, even burnouts are silent with no squeal. Pretty damn soft though. With a heavy foot and some fun, I'm on my 2nd set of rears with just 6700 miles. And I'm near the wearbars already on the 2nd set.
The entry level Continentals have had horrible reviews though.

got my front black grill, chrome logo.. after taking it all apart, spray painting the chrome emblem, I realize it doesn't fit my car
ended up taking out the OEM grill and painting that - for all you fellas wondering how its done, I used sandpaper to sand it down, primer + 2 coats of paint
since I'm on spring break and not going anywhere besides work, I'll be working on my car... wheels will be on this thursday. also changed my username from zikhkd to EVLAMG since that will be my license plate- meaning EVIL AMG

The wheels are taking forever to put on... Wednesday the tires came in, after mounting them on they realize the lugs don't fit so they had to special order them from cali... after getting them today, they realize it didn't come with a wheel lock key so they couldn't put it on.. the guy said he'll have it tomorrow morning at 8am, so hopefully before I go out of town tomorrow morning, I'll drop by and have them mounted on my car
on the bright side, I got my clears in!
